MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN QATAR SOCIETY OF ENGINEERS & ASHRAE QATAR ORYX CHAPTER
THE Qatar Society of Engineers (QSE) and the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), Oryx chapter Qatar, have signed a memorandum of understanding, for mutual benefit and cooperation between the two engineering associations.
QSE Chairman Ahmad Jassim al Jolo and ASHRAE President Hassan Sultan signed the pact in the presence of members of both bodies.
Speaking on the occasion, al Jolo said that one of QSE’s objectives is to cooperate with other engineering and technical organizations to improve engineering works in Qatar and to assist in the exchange of technology between engineers.
He said that through the MoU, both parties have agreed to exchange experience and skills by holding joint workshops and meetings and facilitate exchange of scientific and organizational articles and publications.
Sultan said that ASHRAE has 100 years of achievement in continuous researches in the field of energy saving, energy law, green systems, sustainability and materials recycling.
He said that the ASHRAE Qatar Oryx chapter was established four years back with 50 engineers. The membership, according to him, has risen to 150.
Sultan said the society has been holding technical workshops and seminars and publishing a newsletter for the benefit of its members and other professionals and engineers.
